Saint Matthew's and All Souls Sixth Grades
Battle to an Epic 4-4 Tie

September 12

San Mateo's St. Matthew's School took on arch rival All Souls School from South San Francisco at Trinta Field last Friday. And the grudge match went into overtime innings as the two powerhouses battled to a 4 to 4 tie.

Saint Matthew's Sixth Grade jumped out to a commanding leading at 4 to 1. But late in the sixth, All Souls rallied to tied the game up.

Instrumental for St. Matthew's was Jackson Foster (11) who went one for two. The third baseman played catcher for the final two innings and helped steady the young pitching staff. He also had two stolen bases.

Key to the All Souls rally was the heady play of Wyatt Hartman, who was rock solid at second base. He went two for three and came up with a clutch hit in All Souls' sixth inning rally.
